Modelo de Elementos Finitos para Flujo en Sistemas Multi-Acuíferos

Abstract


This work presents a finite element model of subsurface flow in multiaquifer systems.
This is an Advection-Difussionmodel where the aquifers are connected to their neighbours along a common border. The model neglects the vertical flow in aquifers and horizontal flow in aquitards. An Object-Oriented Finite Element Method program was written to run on a Linux platform. We compare the FEM solution with well known THEIS [4] solution and Neumann & Whiterspoon solution [1].
