Un Estimador de Error Simple para Triángulos Lineales

Claudio E. Jouglard

Abstract

An error estimator for linear triangles based on superconvergent recovery of derivatives at mid-side locations is presented. We show the application of this error estimator to the adaptive analysis of stress problems. This estimator is based on the averaging of the resultant forces obtained by integration of the stresses acting on the common side of adjacent elements. This facilitates the consideration of prescribed forces on the boundary and material discontinuities between elements.
The linear interpolation in each element of the averaged quantities gives an enhanced stress field, which is discontinuous between elements. This discontinuity can be used as a visual indicator of the quality of the solution. Also, a comparison with some wellknown error estimator is presented.
