El Método de Elementos Finitos Aplicado a la Ingeniería Eléctrica

A. C. Agüero, F. A. Actis

Abstract

The Finite Element Method (FEM) has emerged in the past decade as a powerful tool, applied in the analysis of magnetic fields in various electrical devices and systems. This work presents a review of the computational methods applied in electrical engineering.
Examples of concurrent engineering studies conducted at CIMM (Materials and Metrology Research Center) in permanent magnet electric motors, magnetic press for
production of permanent magnets and magnetic attachment implant.
Finally a comment is made about intemacional conferences, societies and cooperation programs currently undertaken in Latinamerica and Europe.
