Adaptividad en Fractomecánica Tridimensional

Abstract


In this work we introduce an a posteriori error estimator appropriate for the analysis of cracked bodies in linear elastic fracture mechanics. It is well-known that the propagation depends only on the shape change in the surface of the body. To simulate it the velocity field must be extended to all the volume of the body. The estimator we present, consider the displacement aproximation error and velocity gradient dependence. An adaptive finite element analysis is perfomed in order to ensure a good accuracy during the numerical evaluation of Π.
