Consideación de Efectos Microestructurales en la Modelización Termomecánica de la Solidificación y Enfriamiento de la Fundición de Hierro

Abstract

A thermomechanical model including microstructural effects to simulate the solidification and cooling of SG cast iron problems is presented. In particular, the liquid-solid phase-change is taken into account using an explicit liquid fraction-temperature relationship while the solid-solid phase-change is described through a nucleation and growth model governed by an evolution equation based on the Avrami-Johason-Mehl law. Moreover, the average behaviour of the different phases existing in the material is described within the context of the thermoviscoplasticity theory. Finally, the model is validated comparing numerical results with experimental measurements.
