Un Simple Modelo Unidemensional de Junta Sinovial con Exudación
Abstract
A simple nonlinear model of a synovial joint that capture the main features of the cartilage deformations and the synovial liquid exudation is presented. The model is solved numerically and the predictions obtained depend on two dimensionless parameters that account for cartilage deformability and cartilage surface porosity. The results show, for typical values of these parameters, that the shape of the lubricating film that keeps the solid surface apart, strongly depends on the liquid exudation. Theoretical estimations of the predictions are also discussed.
