Simulación del Fenómeno de Colmatación de Embalses
Abstract
A mathematical model to simulate the morphological evolution of the bottom of a reservoir, as a consequence of the sedimentation process, is presented. The hydrodynamic conditions and the suspended particle transport are calcuated. The numerical scheme is based on the finite element method. The time evolution of the bottom is calculated through a series of stationary
states. With this model it is possible to solve problems with a large number of degrees of freedom in relatively small computer times.
