Generação de Malhas não Estruturadas de Quadriláteros

This work describes an algorithm that transforms a finite element mesh containing triangular elements into a quadrilateral element mesh. This conversion is made by removing the diagonals between triangles in a seletive way. The resultant mesh will be constituted by triangular and quadrilateral elements. Then the elements of this mi."ed mesh are sulxlividided resulting in a mesh composed by quadrilateral elements. Examples are given to illustrate that high-quality quadrilateral meshes can be generated by the present algorithm.
