Análisis de las Propiedades de Soluciones Asociadas a un Modelo de Aerosoles

Abstract


An analysis of the solutions of an aerosol model recently proposed by Gimenez, Schlamp and Clausse, is described. As diffusive effects can be neglected in comparison with transport, such a model can be expressed by means of a nonlinear hyperbolic system of two conservation laws,
with independent variables z and t. Travelling waves solutions are studied, with emphasis in abrupt fronts (shock waves). Some of them have been calculated using the artificial diffusivity approach (shock structure). The paper is completed with a brief discussion concerning
appropriate boundary conditions for transients, and related topics.
