Cálculo de Flujos Turbulentos con el Método de Elementos Finitos por Volúmenes de Control

Abstract

Most flows in nature are turbulent. Unfortunately, the
non-regular and highly coaplex nature of these flows does not allow the existence of any analytical solution, so numerical calculus is necesary to solve the preblem. In addition. mean values of velocity, pressure, etc. are generally used in engineering, so the closure models of the averaged equations appear. One of the most popular
aodels are the k-c closure equations, mostly implemented in finite diferences. In this work we present a program that solves two dimensional turbulent flows by means of the Control Volume Finite Eleaent Metbod to discretize the k-c turbuleace equatioas and the Navier-Stokes equations. We show two tests that exhibit a good
agreement with experimental results.
