Modelo de Propagación de Oleaje con Difracción e Interacción con la Corriente

Abstract


The mathematical basis and the numerical discretization of a wave propagation model are presented. It includes the combined effect of refraction and diffraction and takes into account wave-current interaction. The eliptic differential equation is simplified using the parabolic approximation. Results of tests are presented and compared with experimental values, analytical solutions and with other numerical solutions. The model behaviour is studied in problems where some of the model hypothesis are not satisfied. A case study is presented in which waves generated by a dam spillway are propagated downstream.
