Modelo de Sedimentación en Canales de Navegación
Abstract
A numerical procedure to sillulate sediment transport
due to current and wave actions. including both suspended and bed load, is presented. It is based on a
two-dimensional paraaetric hydrodynamic model and a
sediment transport model with advection and turbulent
diffusion. The former is described by a set of ordinary
differential equations. which resolution is straightforward. The transport model is based on a parabolic differential equation that is discretized using
finite elellents. Results of tests and numerical experillents are shown, together with their application to
Bahia Blanca barbour.
