Un Elemento Semianalítico para Cáscaras de Revolución con Intersecciones Bajo Cargas Arbitrarias

Fernando G. Flores, Luis A. Godoy

Abstract

A semianalytical finite element for the analysis os thin shells of revolution is presented. Cubic interpolations for the displacement are used. The element has two border nodes and one internal node, which allows to treat chanqes in the slope of the meridian and branchinq of
shells without difficulties. At present the program developed permits static analysis under arbitrary loading with a plane of symmetry and bucklinq analysis under asisymmetric loads, for general boundary conditions.
Several examples are presented that show the approximations obtained with regard to theoretical values and comparisons with results obtained with other codes.
