Study of Mufflers Coupled in Series and Parallel with the Finite Element Method

The objective this work is to shown the effect of the coupling mufflers on yours efficiencies. Models with simple expansion chambers coupled in series and parallel are studied. The mufflers efficiencies are obtained by calculating the transmission loss (TL) with the Finite Element Method (FEM). The numerical analysis is verified experimentally by Two Source Method.
