Análisis de la Integridad Estructural de Cabezales Elípticos Sometidos a Presión Interior Desarrollados por Teoría de la Elasticidad y el Método de Elementos Finitos

Abstract


In the present work, we are presenting the Stresses ocurred in Elliptical Head of pressure vessel under internal pressure. A simplified method by Elasticity Theory and Finite Element were carried out in order to determine the Stresses due to membrane and bending effect.
These Stresses are necesary to evaluate the structural integrity of this component when we use the Design Rules,
specially ASME Code Section VIII, Division 1 and 2.
Design curves and most important conclusion are present in this work.
