Abstract

A three-dimensional Rayleigh-Ritz model for modal analysis of a homogeneous and isotropic solid hexahedral was developed. This model is based on the linear elasticity,
and the displacement field expressed by Legendre's polynomials. The boundary conditions are imposed "a posteriori" through the choice of the physical co-ordinates needed for each case. Several cases are compared with recent works on modal analysis of three dimensional plates.
