Determinación de Tensiones Térmicas en Aceros, Producidas en la Etapa Inicial del Proceso de Colada Continua
Abstract
We present a numerical model using the Finite Element Method to simulate the Continuous Casting Process of a steel (0.4% C). It is remarked the evaluation of the plastic deformations arising by the thermal effect.
The simulations have been obtained with an elasto-plastic material (h Theory) with parameters depending on the temperature.
Because the advection effect plays a main role, we have adopted an Arbitrary Langrangian-Eulerian schema to take due account of the material dependence with the history of deformations.
