Elemento Rectangular para Placas Ortótropas
Abstract
The present paper deals with an extension of the rectangular plate element developed by Bogner et al. in the 60's. in order to tackle transverse vibrations problems of thin rectangular orthotropic plates.
Values of the frequencies are obtained for the square plate
with three different types of boundary conditions. The results are compared with values available in the open literature. It is concluded that the newly deyeloped Bogner-type element yields excellent accuracy.
