Simulación de Fisuras con una Aproximación Difusa

A computational method based on moving least squares interpolants is presented, fur simulation of linear elastic crack problems. It only requires a cloud of points (nodes) and a descriptiml of the boundary. The perfonnarice of a technique developed by other author for dealing with internal free surfaces is analised. It is shown that it overestimtes displacements. A modification of fue weigh function is proposed, wich allows fue calculation of fracture parameters with good presicion.
