Uso de una Malla Compuesta para Estimar Errores de Discretización y Mejorar la Solución en Elementos Finitos

The use of a composite finite element mesh in order to estimate discretization errors and improve the numerical solution, is introduced. Similarly to the use of mixture theory for multiphase materials, several munerical meshes are allowed to share the same spatial domain, each with its own participation factor. This composite mesh may be used either for estimating discretization errors or for improving the numerical solution. Examples are presented for problems with known exact solutions.
