Solución de la Ecuación de Berkhoff con Condiciones de Radiación Aproximadas

The Galerkin finite element method is used to approximate the solutions of Berkhoff's equation for water wave radiation and scattering in an unbounded domain. To incorporate the exact radiation condition at infinity in the numerical scheme a "sponge - filters" - method has been developed. The selective modification of damping in combination with absorbing boundary wnditions allows the development of a suitable solution method, which is tested with analytical solutions and laboratory data.
