Tratamento do Problema do Contato e Atrito Tridimensional pelo Alares

In this paper a method for the simulation of 3D contact problems with elasto-plastic materials and large deformations is proposed. The 3D constitutive laws for frictional contact are integrated in time using the return mapping method and the tangent stiffness matrix consistent with this scheme is derived. The most critical step is defining a correct tangent coordinate system that allows for a simple and efficient procedure for friction pressure calculation. The algorithm was implemented in the METAFOR system (1).
