Aplicaciones del Método Variacional Incremental (I H B) a la Solución de Problemas de Inestabilidad Dinámica

Abstract

An application of the IHB method to the solution of dynamic instability under step loading is presented. First, the paper describes the basic equations and the scheme used to follow a path under prescribed load and displacement. The results are compared with an analytical solution for the same model, and good agreement is obtained. The technique is specially appropriate to be used in conjunction with the FEM because it is obtained from a variational formulation.
