Refinamiento Adaptivo en Ecuaciones Hiperbólicas Discretizadas Mediante SUPG

This work consist in the imp!ementation of SUPG method by Hughes et-al (1) is a finite element code to treat steady, linear, scalar advection-diftusion problems. The theoretical aspects are mentioned without go into details and several examples are shown to check the formulation. The rest of the paper deals with certain aspects in relation with adaptive refinement strategy. The treatment of irregular nodes was the central issue developed in this work. The problems that appear in the implementation of this strategy in a Petror-Galerkin contex are commented and some improvements respect to the standard way are mentioned. However the generalization is not so obvious. Some results and conclusions are shown.
