Comparación de Métodos Numéricos para la Resolución de Problemas Transitorios en el Procesamiento de Polímeros Reactivos

Abstract

We propose a comparative study of different numerical technics applied to the solution of transitory problems in reactive polymers's processing. Fundamentally we analize the continuous flow through a cilindric tube with a thermoset polymerization. The methods compared
are: finite differences, orthogonal collocation, finite elements, finite differences with a semi-implicit integration method and finite differences with an adaptable grid. The purpose is to optimize the solution and decrease the computation's time.
