Sistema para Cálculo de Placas e Chapas Utilizando Microcomputadores

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to show a system for working out slabs and plates with in plane loads using analogy of plane grids and plane frames. The system was developed for Apple microcomputers, and it was written in BASIC. The main purposes of the work are to use cheap microcomputers and to give the possibility of expansion at any level.
Some results are presented and they were compared with those obtained from systems that employ the finite element method.
